Workshop Philosophy
This is a 2 days (16Hrs) Hands-on Manual Therapy and Taping Workshop targeted for both physiotherapy students and clinicians that discusses all new trends for the identification & management of dysfunctions at Cervical and Thoracic region. This region of spinal column represents a unique challenge to identify and manage the dysfunctions because of its unique biomechanical properties . The work presented in this course is an integration of concepts advocated by James Cyriax, G.D Maitland, McConnell, Mennell, Edwards, Lee, Janda, Jull, Richardson and Mohanty. Special emphasis is given on Clinical reasoning, Evidence Based Practice and Tensegrity concept.

WORKSHOP CONTENTS
Introduction: 2 Hrs
Eras of development in Physiotherapy, Introduction to Manual Therapy (Different Schools of Thought), Manual Therapy: Definitions, Indications and Contraindications, Biomechanical Principles in Manual Therapy (Fryette's Laws, Concave-Convex rule, Close pack and Loose pack Positions, Joint status gradings), Barrier concepts, Assessment of dominant eye.
Cervical Region Manual Therapy and Taping Techniques: 8 Hrs
Principles of Subjective Examination, Clinical Reasoning and Physical Examination for Cervical Region, VBI Testings, Passive Physiological Intervertebral Movements (PPIVM's), Passive Accessory Intervertebral Movements (PAIVM's) and Combined Movements in Cervical region. Manipulative Techniques for Cervical Region. Taping Technique for Cervical region, Trapezius and Sternocleidomastoid muscle.
Thoracic Region Manual Therapy and Taping Techniques: 6 Hrs
Principles of Subjective Examination, Clinical Reasoning and Physical Examination for Thoracic Region, Passive Physiological Intervertebral Movements (PPIVM's) and Passive Accessory Intervertebral Movements (PAIVM's) in Thoracic region. Manipulative techniques for Thoracic Region. Taping techniques for Thoracic spine , Scapula and Rhomboid muscles.

Eligibility :Physiotherapists (DPT/BPT/MPT)/ Physiotherapy Students from reputed Institutions. There is no prerequisite in terms of Manual Therapy Experience.

Fees : Rs. 3,500/- .
